Privacy Policy
1.Who we are
Pulse Generation UG is a software company based in Uganda, directed by Lwasa George. In this policy, “we” means Pulse Generation UG. You can reach us at [email protected].
2.What we collect
We only collect what you give us, plus the minimum needed to keep the site working.
- Messages and demo requests. Name, email, subject and message, and, if you choose to add them, phone number, organisation, country and demo preferences.
- Accounts. Full name, email address, an optional organisation name, and your password (stored only as a salted hash by our authentication provider, never in readable form). If you sign in with Google, we receive your name, email and profile picture from Google.
- Account activity. A short list of events on your own account, such as signing in or starting a download, shown to you on your account page.
- Your preferences. Notification settings you choose, and your light or dark theme, which is kept in your browser.
We do not run advertising trackers, and we do not sell personal data. We use Google Analytics to understand how many people visit and which pages they read, and the Meta Pixel to measure our Facebook and Instagram ads (visits, downloads, contact messages); both set cookies, and you can block them in your browser or in your Facebook ad settings.
3.How we use it
- To reply to your message or arrange the demo you asked for.
- To create and secure your account and show you your own history.
- To send account emails such as confirmation and password reset, and, only if you leave them switched on, product and release updates.
- To keep the site safe, for example by rate-limiting and filtering automated spam.
4.Where your data lives
Account and message data is stored with Supabase, our database and authentication provider. Access is restricted by row-level security, so a signed-in user can only read their own profile, activity and messages. Messages are visible to us so we can answer them.
If you contact us through WhatsApp, Telegram or email, those services handle your message under their own policies.
5.Third-party content
- YouTube. Tutorial videos load from YouTube’s privacy-enhanced domain only after you press play. Video thumbnails are fetched from YouTube’s image servers.
- GitHub. App downloads are served from our public GitHub releases page, which may log your IP address as GitHub describes.
- Sign-in providers. If you use Google to sign in, Google’s terms apply to that step.
6.How long we keep it
Messages are kept while we are handling your request and for a reasonable period afterwards so we can follow up. Account data is kept until you ask us to delete it. Deleted data may remain in routine backups for a short time before it is overwritten.
7.Your choices
You can ask us to show you, correct, export or delete your personal data at any time. We aim to handle Uganda’s Data Protection and Privacy Act, 2019 rights requests promptly.
- Edit your details and notification settings on your account page.
- Change or reset your password at any time.
- Withdraw consent to be contacted by replying to any message with “stop”.
8.Data and account deletion
To delete your account and everything linked to it, sign in and use Request account deletion on your account page. If you cannot sign in, email [email protected] from the address you used and write “Delete my data” in the subject line.
We confirm by email and complete deletion within 30 days. To delete a message you sent without an account, email us the address you used.
9.Children
This website is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their data. If you think a child has sent us personal information, tell us and we will remove it.
10.Changes to this policy
If we change this policy in a meaningful way, we will update the date at the top of this page and, for account holders, tell you by email.
